What We Educate Citizens About

Our campaign covers every major natural and human-induced disaster relevant to Uttar Pradesh — what it is, why it happens, and what to do.

1. Earthquake

Sudden ground shaking caused by movement of tectonic plates beneath the earth's surface.

2. Flood

Overflowing rivers, dam failures or excessive rainfall causing water to inundate normally dry land.

3. Drought

Prolonged shortage of rainfall causing water scarcity, crop loss and food insecurity.

4. Cyclone

Powerful rotating storms with high-velocity winds and heavy rainfall, often hitting coastal regions.

5. Landslide

Sudden downslope movement of rock, soil or debris on hillsides — often triggered by rainfall or earthquakes.

6. Tsunami

Massive ocean waves caused by underwater earthquakes or volcanic eruptions, devastating coastal areas.

7. Volcanic Eruption

Explosive release of molten rock, gases and ash from beneath the earth's crust.

8. Pest Attack

Mass attack on crops by locusts, caterpillars, aphids and other insects — devastating agricultural output.

9. Wild-Animal Attacks

Lions, tigers, leopards or bears entering human settlements — often due to deforestation or food scarcity.

10. Fire Incidents

Residential, industrial or commercial fires that cause loss of life, property and environmental damage.

11. Severe Lightning

Powerful electrical discharge during thunderstorms — a serious danger to people, livestock and structures in open areas.

12. Forest Fires

Uncontrolled fires sweeping through forests due to extreme heat, drought, lightning or human carelessness.
